MRCPI is achieved through examination. MRCPI in Obstetrics & Gynaecology is accredited by the Medical Council of Ireland as the foremost knowledge-based assessment for Obstetrics & Gynaecology in Ireland. It is an essential component of specialist training in Ireland.
If you've chosen Obstetrics & Gynaecology as a career path you need expert knowledge of women's health, including the female reproductive system, fertility, pregnancy, childbirth and post-partum care.
The qualification of MRCPI in Obstetrics & Gynaecology shows potential employers that you have advanced knowledge of Obstetrics & Gynaecology - You can effectively take a patient's history, perform clinical examinations and formulate investigation and management plans.
It takes immense dedication and clinical acumen to reach the standard required to achieve MRCPI. There's a lot at stake and you need to have faith in the delivery and grading of your exams.
We go to great lengths to ensure our exams are fairly and consistently marked. Each question is carefully reviewed and assessed for difficulty.
Our examiners are experienced clinicians who have met strict eligibility criteria. Before an examiner can assess candidates at the Part II OSCE/Clinical exam, they are required to complete training.
We are committed to continuously reviewing the format and delivery of our exams to ensure they are aligned with international best practice.
